Queenshill Estate is rich in wildlife - both flora and fauna. Bring your binoculars and be prepared for a treat!  Our landscape is so varied making it the perfect home for a huge variety of species.

For bird watchers - we're delighted to be on the official 'Red Kite Trail' and these birds can regularly be seen whooping through the skies above nearby Barstobrick Hill. You should also be on the look out for Mallard duck, lapwing as well as Buzzards, Reed Bunting and Sedge Warblers.

As well as duck, our ponds and wetland areas support support quite a few rare, endangered species of plants, mammals, amphibians and reptiles.  Among the brightly coloured plants that thrive here you'll see Ragged Robin and tiny orchids. If you look carefully you're very likely to glimpse one or two rare butterflies too. Why not try one of our history and wildlife trails starting from the coffee shop at Barstobrick.
